A widowed single father falls in love with an evangelical Christian single mom after meeting her at a “Flat Earth” convention. Meanwhile, her son is haunted by his dead ex-girlfriend and his 13-year-old daughter is catapulted onto the national stage as a spokesperson for climate change.
The entanglements of the two families and how they grow together as one -- through grief, longing, love and acceptance – epitomize the fraught topography of America’s knowledge-armed youth, road-weary “believers” and our search for truth in a cracked America.
